How we work
Our process.
No black boxes.
Whether you come to us for a one-off project or a long-term retainer, you'll always know exactly what's happening, why it's happening, and what it's producing. Here's how we work — in detail.
Phase 01
Audit & Discovery
Before we recommend anything, we need to understand everything. This phase is about getting the full picture — your business, your market, your existing marketing, and where the real opportunities are.
The business deep-dive. We start with a structured onboarding session — typically a 60–90 minute call — where we learn about your business model, revenue goals, target customers, and competitive landscape. We ask the questions most agencies skip because they're already thinking about tactics. We're not yet. We want the context first.
Marketing audit. We audit everything you're already doing — your website, your active campaigns, your analytics data, your email setup, your social accounts, and any historical performance data you can share. We're looking for what's working (and should be scaled), what's broken (and needs fixing), what's missing (and represents opportunity), and where your biggest quick wins are likely to be.
Competitor & market analysis. We analyse your top competitors across every relevant channel — what they're ranking for, how they're spending on paid, how they're positioning, and where there are gaps we can exploit. This isn't about copying what they're doing. It's about understanding the playing field so we can find your best path through it.
Deliverable. An audit report summarising our findings, key opportunities, and initial recommendations — shared before the strategy session so you have time to review and come with questions.
Phase 02
Strategy & Roadmap
The audit tells us where you are. The strategy defines exactly where you're going and how we'll get there — with specific KPIs, a clear channel mix, and a prioritised action plan before a single pound is spent.
Channel selection and prioritisation. Not every business needs every channel. We recommend the specific mix that makes sense for your goals, your budget, and your timeline — and we're honest when something isn't worth pursuing yet. We'd rather start with two channels executed brilliantly than six channels spread thin.
KPI framework. Every strategy we build is anchored to measurable outcomes — not vanity metrics. We define the specific KPIs we'll be held accountable to: cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, organic traffic growth, conversion rate, revenue from email, and so on. You know exactly what success looks like before we begin.
90-day roadmap. We break the strategy into a clear 90-day action plan — what we're doing in weeks 1–4, weeks 5–8, and weeks 9–12, and why. This gives you full visibility into the sequencing of work and the rationale behind every prioritisation decision we've made.
Budget recommendation. We provide a clear recommendation on how to allocate your budget across channels for maximum impact — including our management fee structure, so there are no surprises when you sign.
Phase 03
Onboarding & Launch
Once the strategy is signed off, we move into execution — fast. Most clients are live within two weeks of agreeing the plan. Here's what that looks like.
Account setup and access. We get everything we need — ad account access, tracking pixels, Google Search Console, CMS credentials, brand assets, and any platform logins. We have a structured onboarding checklist that makes this process fast and frictionless, minimising back-and-forth.
Tracking and attribution. Before anything goes live, we verify that tracking is working correctly across every channel. This means GA4 is properly configured, conversion events are firing, ad platform pixels are verified, and UTM parameters are structured consistently. Without clean tracking, optimisation is guesswork. We don't guess.
Creative and content production. For channels that need assets — ad creative, social content, email templates, landing pages — we produce these in parallel with the technical setup so we're not waiting. We share everything for approval before it goes live.
Launch. We launch channels in a sequenced order — typically quick-win channels first so you see early results while longer-burn channels (like SEO) are being built. You're notified when every campaign or piece of content goes live.
Phase 04
Ongoing Optimisation
The launch is the beginning, not the end. This is where most of the real work — and the real results — happen. Every week we're learning, testing, and improving.
Continuous testing framework. We run structured A/B tests across every channel — ad creative, headlines, audiences, landing pages, email subject lines, send times. Not random tests, but a disciplined testing framework with clear hypotheses, sufficient sample sizes, and documented learnings that inform everything else we do.
Weekly performance reviews. Every week we review performance across all active channels — what's performing, what isn't, what we've changed and why. For retainer clients, this is shared as a weekly update. For project clients, we schedule a call at agreed intervals. You're never wondering what's happening.
Monthly strategy reviews. Once a month, we zoom out. We review performance against the KPIs defined in the strategy, assess what the data is telling us about the broader opportunity, and adapt the plan accordingly. Marketing strategy should evolve as you learn — ours does.
Scaling winners. When a campaign, a piece of content, or a channel is producing strong returns, we scale it deliberately and systematically — increasing budget in controlled increments, expanding to new audiences or markets, and replicating winning creative frameworks rather than reinventing the wheel.
Engagement models
Project work & retainers —
how both work
We work with clients in two ways. Some need a focused project delivered to a deadline. Others want an ongoing strategic partner embedded in their growth. Both models use the same process — the difference is in the scope and the relationship.
Clear deadline.
Projects typically run 4–12 weeks depending on scope. Many project clients transition to retainers once they see results.
Compounding results.
Retainers are scoped to your specific needs and budget, with a minimum commitment of three months (because marketing takes time to properly optimise). Monthly strategy reviews, weekly updates, and a direct line to your team — always.
How we communicate
You'll always know
what's happening
Lack of communication is the number one complaint about marketing agencies. We fix that with a structured communication framework that keeps you informed without flooding your inbox.
